"Still Waiting on Simple Fixes"
I started using it thinking the small bugs would probably get patched quickly, but that hasn’t really been the case. A couple of basic issues popped up early on, and I figured, no big deal, they’ll fix them soon. Weeks later, I’m still running into the same problems. It’s frustrating because the product has potential, but waiting this long for simple fixes makes it hard to stay confident.

Am I the only one who got annoyed quickly with the free trial? I thought it would be simple to try out, but the setup felt confusing, popups kept getting in the way, and when I wanted to cancel, it wasn’t very clear how to do it. it ended up being more hassle than it was worth for me...

I really struggled to get the hang of this. The learning curve felt way steeper than it needed to be, and a lot of the confusion seemed avoidable with better guidance or a simpler setup.

"Setting up Fences nearly broke me"
I tried setting up Fences the help docs sent me into an absolute spiral. The screenshots looked ancient, whole steps seemed to be missing, and every page just dumped me onto another page with no real answer. I thought this would take ten minutes and somehow it ate my entire evening. At one point I was genuinely questioning every life choice that led me there.

I’ll give it this: the setup looked simple enough that I really thought I’d be using it in minutes. Unfortunately, the installer failed every single time I tried, so I never even got past step one. Not exactly a great first impression...

"Works fine, but I’m not totally sold on the price"
I’ve been using these tools for a bit and they do the job without any major issues. Nothing felt difficult to use, and they seem decent enough for basic tasks. That said, after actually trying them out, I can’t say they feel like they fully justify the price. They’re not bad at all, but I was expecting a little more for what I paid.

I bought this thinking it would be more of a complete tool, and maybe I expected too much, but it just feels like a lot of basic features are either missing or not fully finished. Some of the settings are limited, and I found myself wondering if I was just overlooking something, but then I ended up needing workarounds for simple things. It’s not awful, and I guess it’s fine if you only need the basics, but for the price I thought it would feel more complete. Kind of disappointing.

After I installed it, my PC got really laggy. Everything felt slow and frustrating to use, so it just wasn’t a good experience for me.

I bought software from Stardock and the license did eventually activate, but it wasn’t as smooth as I expected. After I paid, the emails and account steps felt a little confusing, and for a bit I wasn’t sure if everything had gone through properly.
It’s working now, so I can’t say it was a terrible experience, but the whole activation process made me a bit distrustful right after payment. I just wish the instructions were clearer and the account system felt less old school.
"My Windows Update Turned This Into a Disaster"
After the latest Windows update, this just completely fell apart on me. It kept crashing over and over, like every time I thought it might finally work, nope, down it went again. Super frustrating because I really wanted it to be usable, but on my Windows setup right now, it just doesn’t work right.

"Decent overall, but not without problems"
I’d say it works well for the most part, and some of the features are genuinely useful. To be fair, when it’s running smoothly, it does what I need. The main downside is that after some updates, it can get a bit buggy, which is frustrating. I don’t think it’s a bad product, but it could definitely use more polish and consistency

It works okay overall, but the sync feels kind of clunky on my tablet. I thought it was just lag at first, actually, no, it’s more like it takes a bit too much effort to get everything to update smoothly.

I tried using stardock.com it was a bit of a hassle. The site feels hit or miss depending on what you're trying to do, but as a new user I found it more confusing than helpful. It took way longer than it should have to find what I needed, and the menus felt messy. I kept clicking around trying to figure out what to download and where my account info was, but it never really felt clear. Maybe it gets easier once you’re used to it, but my first experience was annoying.

The site just felt really old and cluttered to me. The layout is kind of crowded, the colors don’t really go together, and a few pages look like they haven’t been touched in years?? I spent way too much time trying to find basic info. The products might be totally fine, but the website design gave me a bad first impression.

I tried sending feedback about an issue I was having, it just felt like it went into a black hole. The replies took a while, and when they did come in, they had that very generic, copy-and-paste feel, down to the wording that didn’t really address the specific thing I mentioned.
I’ve also seen other people in the community bring up the same kinds of problems, sometimes with really clear examples, but the response usually seems to be more like “wait and see” than an actual conversation. Even small details people point out seem to get skipped over, which makes the whole process feel discouraging.
The software might work perfectly fine for some users, and that’s fair, but my experience with giving feedback hasn’t been great. If it feels like nothing is really being heard, it’s hard to want to take the time to report anything again.

I asked for a refund and, it turned into way more of a hassle than I expected. I felt a little embarrassed having to keep following up, especially when the replies were slow and it didn’t really seem like anyone was listening. Maybe other people had a smoother experience, but for me the refund process was frustrating and annoying

"Updates are always a bit of a gamble"
Every update feels like a toss-up. Sometimes it goes through fine. No issues. Other times, something breaks and I’m stuck digging around trying to fix it. Frustrating, honestly. I paid for this software, so I kind of expect updates to just work. I do like some of the apps. That’s the annoying part. But the update reliability? Not great.

I was genuinely interested at first, but the pricing kind of stopped me. For my own standards, it just doesn’t feel like the value matches what you’re paying for. The upgrade costs make it even harder to justify, so I ended up feeling like it wasn’t really fair for what you get

"Useful apps, but a bit hit or miss"
I’ve been using Stardock software for a while now, and there are definitely a few apps I really like. When everything is working, it’s genuinely useful and makes Windows feel a little more personalized. The problem is the stability hasn’t been super consistent for me, and every now and then something will freeze or make Windows act kind of strange.
Updates have fixed some issues, so I do appreciate that they’re still working on things. anyway... I’ve also had a couple updates introduce new bugs, which is frustrating. It’s not awful by any means, but it doesn’t feel as solid as I was hoping. I’d say 3 stars is fair.
